Abstract
En un motor impulsado por gas licuado, tal como nitrogeno liquido o aire, un medio de entrada (31, 33) admite fluido impulsor en una camara de expansion definida por el volumen entre dos miembros (1, 28) relativamente moviles guiados para movimiento en un ciclo repetitivo por un medio de guia (38, 40). El medio de entrada tambien permite que se admita un liquido de intercambio de calor en la camara en el cual el liquido esta en contacto estrecho con el fluido impulsor y cede energia calorifica al fluido impulsor en expansion. El liquido de intercambio de calor refrigerado es retirado de la camara, calentado y recirculado a la camara. Parte de dicho ciclo incluye un periodo de tiempo durante el cual sustancialmente no hay movimiento relativo entre los miembros (1, 28) y durante el cual se mantiene el volumen de la camara en o cercano a su volumen minimo, el liquido de intercambio de calor y el fluido impulsor son admitidos en la camara durante dicho periodo de tiempo.
