Abstract

La presente invencion esta dirigida a un aparato sensor tactil de efecto de campo con patron de electrodos compartido. El aparato incluye primero y segundo patrones de electrones separados, cada uno con un electrodo interno y un electrodo externo. El electrodo interno incluye una porcion primaria que define un area de deteccion primaria y por lo menos una porcion secundaria. Porciones secundarias de al menos dos patrones estan dispuestas adyacentemente, y definen areas de deteccion secundarias. Un circuito de generacion de pulsos y un circuito de deteccion estan acoplados electricamente a cada patron. La presencia de un objeto cerca de un area de deteccion primaria activa un circuito de deteccion. La presencia de un objeto cerca de un area de deteccion secundaria activa dos circuitos de deteccion. Un controlador en comunicacion con los circuitos de deteccion detecta la activacion de los circuitos de deteccion. En una modalidad preferida, el aparato es un dispositivo de control de navegacion. Se describe tambien un metodo para procesar senales de efecto de campo de sensor tactil.
