Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en método para estabilizar el cimiento de grado inferior de una estructura de construcción existente, que puede o ha experimentado asentamiento o movimiento y que tiene un peso y una carga viva asumida predeterminados, las mejoras caracterizadas por los pasos de proporcionar un soporte para el cimiento, en una pluralidad de posiciones a lo largo del cimiento; colocar un ancla de tornillo en cada una de las posiciones a lo largo del cimiento que se va a estabilizar con los soportes; impartir una torsión a cada una de las anclas de tornillo, que se aplica como una fuerza independiente de un soporte y un cimiento respectivos, aplicándose la torsión en cada caso, a un ancla de tornillo correspondiente hasta que se logre un valor de por lo menos aproximadamente T 500 libras-pies (69.2 kg-m), de confrmidad con la fórmula T w (x) (S.F.)/n (N), (I),en donde w es igual al peso muerto combinado, calculado y a la carga viva de la estructura de construcción por metro lineal de cimiento (kg/m), x es igual a los metros lineales a lo largo del cimiento (m), S.F. (factor de seguridad) es igual a por lo menos 1.0, n es igual a 8 a 20 (6.23-65.57) (multiplicador empírico para torsión contra energía de sostenimiento del ancla de tornillo 1/pie (1/m), y N es igual a las anclas de tornillo y los soportes asociados que se van a utilizar para estabilizar la estructura de la construcción, determinados por la fórmula. B w(x)/S, (II), en donde, w y x so las mismas que en la fórmula I, y S es la capacidad de cada soporte (kg); y posteriormente transferir el peso muerto y cualquier carga viva de la etructura de construcción sobre los soportes, a las anclas de tornillo asociados con los mismos.
