Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a caja de coque para enfriar en seco una carga de coque empujada desde un horno de coque comprendiendo, en combinación, una cámara para recibir una carga de coque, dicha cámara formada de paneles de metal teniendo una superficie exterior, una forma interior y un volumen en sustancialmente la forma de un paralelpípedo rectangular sustancialmente igual a aquel de la forma y volumen de la carga de coque, la cámara receptora tiene los lados superior de fondo y opuestos, un extremo posterior y una abertura de puerta, medios para crear un sello efectivo entre el horno de coque y la cámara receptora para evitar que materias particuladas y gases escapen al ser empujado el coque desde el horno, medios para sostener los paneles de la cámara receptora de la caja de coque, medios de puerta para cerrar selectivamente la abertura de puerta para encerrar el coque y los gases dentro de la caja de coque para aislar substancialmente el coque y los gases de la atmósfera y del medio enfriador externo, medios para enfriar la superficie exterior de la cámara receptora para enfirar directamente la carga de coque mediante el pasar un medio de enfriamiento externo sobre las superficies exteriores de los paneles de cámara receptora de caja de coque, y medios para circular el gas presente dentro de la cámara receptora para mejorar la transferencia de calor desde el coque a los paneles de la camara receptora, un vehículo portador para transportar y maniobrar la caja de coque comprendiendo, en combinación, una armazón principal inferior, un armazón inclinado superior para sostener la caja de coque conectada en forma de pivote a la armazón principal inferior, el armazón inclinado teniendo unos medios para maniobrar la caja de coque para recibir y entregar la carga de coque, medios para evitar el movimiento relativo entre la caja de coque y el extremo de descarga del horno de coque durante la carga de una carga de coque, y medios para inclinar el armazón para descargar la carga de coque de la caja de coque.
