Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras a fibra óptica, particularmente para usarse en amplificadores de fibra óptica para líneas de telecomunicación ópticas, conteniendo erbio como el drogante de emisión laser y teniendo un drogante que actúa como un variador de indice refractario adaptado para asegurar un efecto de guía de onda, para ser alimentado por una fuente de bombeo luminosa de longitud de onda predeterminada para generar dicha emisión laser, caracterizada porque la fibra comprende un drogante adicional teniendo una absorción significativa de la energía luminosa en la longitud de onda de emisión de un laser de bombeo en un amplificador óptico incorporando la fibra, dicho drogante adicional estando adaptado para transferir la energía drogante absorbida al arbio contenido en la fibra, causando por tanto una inversión de población generando una emisión luminosa estimulada en la presencia de una señal de transmisión óptica.
