Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a masa termoplástica para aplicaciones de insonorización y aislamiento de vibraciones que posee excelentes valores de resistencia al frío, "fogging" (desprendimiento de materiales volátiles), flexibilidad, envejecimiento, insonorización, aislamiento de vibraciones, descuelgue, adaptabilidad y fácil laminabilidad, la masa termoplástica está caracterizada por estar constituída por: entre 0,6 y 50 por ciento de polietileno clorado; 20 y 95 por ciento de material de carga; y 4 a 60 por ciento de un componente extendedor escogido entre uno o varios de plastificantes poco volátiles, aceites hidrocarbonados, asfaltos y/u otros materiales que desarrollan tal función; escogiéndose el componente extendedor de manera tal que se mantenga la compatibilidad con el polietileno clorado, definiendose esta compatibilidad por un punto de anilina, medido según la norma STM D-611, metodo B, con valores inferiores a 100 grados C y preferiblemente inferiores a 70 grados C; conteniendo además la masa, componentes minoritarios para adaptar a la finalidad prevista las propiedades físicas, tanto de la masa total como de alguno de los constituyentes, y particularmente para que el valor de "fogging" (desprendimiento de materiales volátiles) medido según la norma DIN 75201 sea óptimo.
