Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para recuperar metacroleína, caracterizado porque comprende una etapa de reacción (A) que comprende oxidar catalíticamente isobutileno, t-butanol, metacroleína, aldehído de isobutilo o ácido isobutírico, o una mezcla de los mismos, con un gas que contiene oxígeno molecular en una fase de vapor, una etapa de condensación (B) de ácido metacrílico, una etapa de extracción (C) de ácido metacrílico, una etapa de recuperación (D) de metacroleína, que comprende poner en contacto un gas que contiene metacroleína y ácido metacrílico descargado con una fase acuosa que contiene ácido metacrílico y ácido acético, mediante lo cual se recupera metacroleína y el ácido metacrílico contenido en el gas dentro de la fase acuosa, una etapa de desorción (E) de metacroleína, y una etapa de recuperación (F) de ácido metacrílico.
