Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un conducto de luz, hueco, tubular, para transportar luz a lo largo del mismo y/o distribuir luz desde el mismo, que comprende un miembro de pared de un material transparente, el mencionado miembro de pared incluye una superficie estructurada sobre un lado y una superficie tersa opuesta a la superficie estructurada sobre el otro lado, la superficie estructurada tiene una disposición lineal de prismas isósceles dispuestos en ángulos substancialmente rectos en relación lado por lado, los lados perpendiculares de los prismas forman un ángulo de aproximadamente 45 grados con la superficie tersa opuesta a la superficie estructurada, de tal manera que una porción predeterminada de la luz que entra al conducto de luz dentro de una gama angular aceptable, está contenida por la reflexión interna total a medida que ésta viaja a lo largo de la longitud del conducto de luz, caracterizado porque cuando menos una porción de la sección transversal del mencionado miembro de pared forma una curva arqueada tersa y los lados perpendiculares de los mencionados prismas opuestos a la mencionada curva están dispuestos en un ángulo alfa de aproximadamente 45 grados con la tangente de la curva.
