Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para el encogimiento previo por compresión de telas con tejido de punto y materiales similares, que comprende (a) un rodillo suministrador de tela; (b) una zapata de encierro de lado de entrada, que se complementa generalmente con una porción de superficie de dicho rodillo de suministro y define con el mismo un paso encerrado de entrada para el avance controlado de la tela causado por dicho rodillo de suministro; (c) medios para de manera ajustable poner dicha zapata de encierro de lado de entrada y dicho rodillo de suministro de tela en posiciones relativas para que establezcan un contacto de presión limitada y controlada sobre tela encerrada en dicho paso de entrada; (d) un rodillo de retardo de tela montado para girar en la adyacencia inmediata de dicho rodillo de suministro y en relación paralela con el mismo; (e) los ejes de dichos rodillos de suministro y retardo definen un plano de referencia que pasa por la región en la que es mínima la separación existente entre dichos rodillos de suministro y retardo; (f) una zapata de encierro de lado de salida que se complementa con una porción de superficie de dicho rodillo de retardo y define junto con el mismo un paso de salida para la descarga controlada de tela efectuada por dicho rodillo de retardo; (g) medios para de manera ajustable poner dicha zapata de encierro de lado de salida y dicho rodillo de retardo en posición para establecer un contacto de presión limitada y controlada sobre tela encerrada en dicho paso de salida; dichas zapatas de encierro tienen prolongaciones en forma de hoja que se extienden entre dichos rodilos y que se encuentran en la región general del plano que contiene los ejes de dichos rodillos; y (i) medios que comprenden superficies enfrentadas de dichas prolongaciones semejantes a hojas y que forman una zona de encierro para el pasaje encerrado y controlado de dicha tela durante su tránsito desde dicho paso de entrada a dicho paso de salida.The present invention relates to an apparatus for compression pre-shrinking of fabrics with knitted fabrics and the like, comprising (a) a fabric supply roll; (b) an inlet side closure shoe, which is generally complemented by a surface portion of said supply roll and defines with it an enclosed inlet passage for controlled fabric advance caused by said supply roll; (c) means for adjustably putting said inlet side closure shoe and said fabric supply roller in relative positions so as to establish a controlled and limited pressure contact on fabric enclosed in said inlet passage; (d) a fabric retarding roller mounted to rotate in the immediate adjacency of said supply roller and in parallel relation thereto; (e) the axes of said supply and retarder rollers define a reference plane passing through the region in which the separation between said supply and retarder rollers is minimal; (f) an exit-side closure shoe that complements a surface portion of said retarding roll and defines therewith an exit passage for controlled fabric discharge by said retarding roll; (g) means for adjustably bringing said outlet side closure shoe and said retarder roller into position to establish a controlled and limited pressure contact on fabric enclosed in said outlet passage; said closure shoes have leaf-shaped extensions that extend between said rollers and that are in the general region of the plane containing the axes of said rollers; and (i) means comprising facing surfaces of said leaf-like extensions and forming a confinement zone for the enclosed and controlled passage of said fabric during its transit from said entry passage to said exit passage.
