Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un metodo para la reducción por fundición de la mena de óxido de metal, que comprende prerreducir la mena en estado sólido en un horno de prerreducción, luego fundir la mena y llevar a cabo la reducción final de la misma en un horno de reducción por fundición y al mismo tiempo introducir el gas generado en el horno de reducción por fundición y que tiene capacidad reductiva en el horno de prerreducción, caracterizado porque el regimen para prerreducir la mena en el horno de prerreducción se controla a un valor con un máximo dentro del orden del 33 por ciento.
