Procedimiento para la producción directa de hierro a partir de minerales de grano fino y/o de sus concentradosen especial en una gama de granulación inferior a 250 micras empleando para ello carbono y/o sustancias con contenido en hidrocarburos en calidad de sustancia de partida para la reduccióncaracterizado porque las sustancias que contienen carbono y/o sustancias con contenido de hidrocarburos en calidad de sustancia de partida para la reduccióncaracterizado porque las sustancias que contienen carbono y/o hidrocarburosjunto con oxígeno y/o medios oxigenadosse transforman en un reactor de baño metálico en un gas reductor rico en CO/H2y porque el gas reductor caliente y los minerales de grano fino en suspensión son puestos en contacto íntimo entre sí en un dispositivo de reducción.
