Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un horno giratorio de encendido directo a contracorriente para la descontaminación de materiales que contengan materias orgánicas peligrosas el método para remover la materia orgánica indeseable de una matriz en un horno giratorio de encendido directo a contracorriente que tiene un quemador que se puede poner en posición selectiva a lo largo de dicho horno, comprende los pasos de alimentar la matriz del otro extremo de dicho horno, ssuministrando combustible de hidrocarburos al quemador junto con el aire suficiente en el lugar en que debe efectuarse la combustión para que se efectúe la combustión, para mantener el horno a una temperatura de aproximadamente entre 704,44ºC y 982.22ºC, que conduce el gas de desecho del horno en el extremo de la alimentación de la matriz a un medio de tratamiento subsecuente, poniendo al quemador en una posición que se localice a lo largo de dicho horno en un lugar desde el extremo de alimentación que esté a la distancia suficiente para secar, desabsorber y pirolizar substancialmente toda la materia orgánica indeseable a la hora que llegue a la posición de dicho quemador y que mantenga una atmósfera oxidante en el área de dicho horno entre dicho quemador y el extremo de descarga de dicho horno por lo que cualquier materia orgánica remanente se oxida antes de ser descargada de dicho horno.
