Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras a banda flexible, la cual está hecha de un material elastomérico, adecuado para ser montada alrededor de por lo menos dos poleas, sobre cuyas superficies externas son intercambias fuerzas friccionales, útiles para transmitir movimiento, dicha banda comprende un cuerpo anular delimitado por dos superficies de base externas y por dos lados laterales, con por lo menos una de dichas superficies de base siendo activa para el intercambio de dichas fuerzas friccionales, y con ambos de dichos lados laterales siendo inactivos para el intercambio de fuerzas friccionales, dicha banda estando caracterizada por el hecho de comprender por lo menos un grupo de tres capas embebiendo fibras discontinuas, con una de estas capas teniendo fibras dirigidas transversalmente a la dirección longitudinal de la banda, las otras dos capas teniendo fibras cuya dirección está inclinada y opuesta una o otra como con respecto a la dirección longitudinal de la banda, el ángulo de inclinación de las fibras en relación a la dirección longitudinal, siendo a no más de 45 grados el módulo de rigidez bajo esfuerzos de tensión, de las capas con dichas fibras inclinadas, medido en la dirección longitudinal de la banda, siendo igual uno a otro, dichas capas estando directamente en contacto una con otra con el cuerpo anular resultando desprovisto de cualesquier elementos continuos longuiformes o inextendibles.
