Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a en un método para la generación de energía en una turbina de combustión y para la producción de un subproducto rico en oxígeno, que comprende las etapas de comprimir una corriente de aire tratado que está en exceso de áquel necesario para la combustión que precede a la combustión de la turbina, quemar cuando menos una porción de dicha corriente de aire a elevada presión con una corriente de combustible; expansionar la corriente de producto de la combustión a elevada presión de dicha combustión a través de una turbina de manera que proporcione energía para la compresión del aire y para recuperar energía neta del sistema, la mejora que comprende: (a) separar una porción del oxígeno en una corriente de presión elevada antes de la expansión en la turbina en tanto aún está la corriente a una temperatura elevada por su resolución con un medio de separación; y (b) recuperar un gas rico en oxígeno como corriente de subproducto y una corriente a presión elevada exenta de oxígeno resultante para su expansión a través de la turbina de que se trata.
