Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para descomponer compuestos orgánicos, que comprende, pasar una mezcla gaseosa de los compuestos orgánicos y agua, en una primer zona de reacción con un rango de temperatura entre aproximadamente 200 grados C y 1400 grados C, la primer zona de reacción tiene una trayectoria laberíntica que presenta superficies orgánicamente absorbentes a la mezcla gaseosa, para proporcionar un tiempo de residencia en la primer zona de reacción, suficiente para reaccionar substancialemnte todos los compuestod orgánicos con el agua, y pasar el efluente de la primera zona de reacción a una segunda zona de reacción que tiene un rango de temperatura aproximado entre 750 grados C y 1820 grados C, para descomponer los compuestos orgánicos restantes en el efluente y mantener la cantidad de agua en la mezcla gaseosa en cada una de las zonas de reacción entre 100 por ciento y 200 por ciento de estequiometría. Un sistema de reactor para descomponer compuestos orgánicos, caracterizado porque comprende montajes que definen una primera zona de reacción con una trayectoria laberíntica que presenta superficies absorbentes orgánicamente a gases que fluyen en ella, montajes para pasar una mezcla gaseosa de los compuestos orgánicos y agua a la primer zona de reacción, montajes que definen una segunda zona de reacción, montajes para pasar el efluente de la primer zona de reacción a la segunda zona de reacción, montajes para mantener la temperatura de la primer zona de reacción, en un rango entre aproximadamente 200 grados C y 1400 grados C y para mantener la temperatura de la segunda zona de reacción en un rango aproximado entre 750 grados C y 1820 grados C, y montajes para mantener el agua en ambas zonas de reacción cuando menos igual a la estequionetría.
