Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la preparación de éter etil terbutílico que comprende: a) alimentar (1) una mezcla que contiene isobuteno y buteno normal y (2) metanol a un reactor de columna de destilación en una zona de alimentación, (b) concurrentemente en dicho reactor de columna de destilación: (1) poner en contacto dicha mezcla y dicha metanol con un empaque de resina de intercambio de cationes de ácido de lecho fijo en una zona de reacción de destilación; (2) fraccionar la mezcla resultante del éter y el isobuteno sin reaccionar y el buteno normal; c) extraer el éter del reactor de columna de destilación; y d) extraer el isobuteno sin reaccionar y el buteno normal del reactor de columna de destilación. Un aparato para conducir un procedimiento de destilación catalítica que comprende: a) una primera columna de destilación que contiene un catalizador que actúa como una estructura de destilación y define una zona de destilación que contiene un catalizador que actúa como una estructura de destilación y define una zona de destilación de reacción; b) una segunda columna de destilación que contiene empaque o bandeja de destilación inerte convencional, c) una primera línea de flujo que conecta el extremo inferior de dicha primera columna de destilación con la parte superior de dicha segunda columna de destilación; d) una segunda línea de flujo que conecta la parte superior de dicha segunda columna de destilación con la parte inferior de dicha primera columna de destilación y e) un medio de restricción en dicha primera línea de flujo.
