Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar un alquilaminoalcanol estable al color, por la reacción de óxido de alquileno con un exceso de la clase de amoníaco y una amina primaria o secundaria, para formar una masa de reacción, la mejora que comprende las etapas de (1) agregar al producto de la reacción, antes de la separación de amina en exceso, por lo menos aproximadamente una mol de borohidruro de metal alcalino, por 1650 moles de óxido de alquileno utilizado en la reacción, 2) separar el reactivo de amina en exceso, y 3) destilar la masa de reacción resultante para recuperar el borohidruro de metal alcalino y los cuerpos formadores de color, como los fondos y el alquilaminoalcanol como el desdtilado.
