Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una unidad acondicionadora de aire que tiene un alojamiento que contiene un cambiador de calor y un soplador impulsor centrífugo tiene una abertura de entrada que mira hacia la parte posterior del cambiador de calor, de manera que el impulsor impulsa el aire de la zona de ambiente sobre las superficies del cambiador de calor y regresa el aire a la zona de ambiente; caracterizada dicha unidad porque incluye un orificio hueco montado detrás del cambiador de calor que tiene un pasaje para conducir el aire de la zona de ambiente a la región de entrada del impulsor; estando espaciado el extremo de descarga del orificio de la cara interna del impulsor para proveer un cuello circular alrededor del impulsor, y un blindaje circular que rodea el orificio y que tiene una cara extrema que está situada adyacente a la cara de entrada del impulsor para proveer un espacio angosto entre ellos; siendo la anchura del espacio libre menor que la anchura del cuello, con lo que el flujo de aire impulsado radialmente a través del espacio libre se expande rápidamente en el cuello para reducir su velocidad antes de entrar en la región de entrada del impulsor.
