Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un cojinete compuesto, autolubricante que tiene una mejor resistencia a la separación o desprendimiento y una mejor resistencia al desgaste, que comprende: un respaldo de metal; una capa porosa sobre el respaldo; un revestimiento sinterizado sobre la capa porosa e impregnado para que entre en la misma, el revestimiento está formado de una mezcla que comprende, por peso; una porción mayor de plomo o de una aleación de plomo lubricante; una porción menor de polímero perfluorado, seleccionado del grupo que consiste de polímeros y copolímeros de politetrafluoroetileno; entre aproximadamente 3 y aproximadamente 15 por ciento de un polímero termoplástico en partículas que tiene un tamaño promedio de partícula inferior a aproximadamente 20 micras, y entre aproximadamente 1 y aproximadamente 5 por ciento de arcilla; y el polímero termoplástico se selecciona para mejorar la adherencia del revestimiento sinterizado a la capa porosa, y el polímero termoplástico queda sustancialmente sin degradarse cuando se sinteriza en la mezcla para formar el revestimiento.
