Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un cierre para empalme de cables, para proporcionar protección ambiental a un empalme o empate aéreo de cables; el cierre o recinto de empalme o empate comprende una cubierta hueca agrandada formada de dos secciones coincidentes que tiene una bisagra longitudinal para unir las secciones y una costura de abertura colocada en forma correspondiente, generalmente opuesta, un cerrojo diseñado y dispuesto para retener en forma selectiva la cubierta en una corriente cerrada a lo largo de la costura de abertura, el cierre o recinto de empalme está caracterizado en que cada una de las secciones de la cubierta tiene una sección de pared lateral con diseño de paredes dobles que definen una porción de pared interna y una porción de pared externa, con cuando menos una cavidad entre las mismas, y una primera y una segunda paredes de extremo opuestas que se extienden entre la porción de pared interna y la porción de pared externa para cerrar la cavidad.
