Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un mecanismo de flotación mejorado apropiado para separación por flotación de materiales de la mena que comprende un tanque receptor vertical hermético al líquido para recibir y procesar una suspensión espesa de tres fases incluyendo mezclar íntimamente el sólido finamente molido, el líquido y el aire, una bomba colocada dentro de la celda definida por el tanque receptor y colocada en la región inferior de la celda, la bomba incluye miembros de rotor y estator para crear un flujo turbulento de la suspensión espesa a fin de mezclar íntimamente los sólidos molidos para aerear la mezcla, y medios para dirigir el flujo turbulento dentro de la celda restringiendo el efluente turubulento hacia las regiones inferiores de la celda, activando la formación de una zona quieta uniformemente aereada que se extiende hacia arriba por encima de la zona turbulenta, y para formar además una zona de enriquecimiento y una zona de espuma para la flotación eficiente de las partículas minerales mediante fijación a burbujas de aire portadoras para la recuperación en la zona de espuma.
