Abstract
The invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to the veneer working technology, and can be used for the manufacture of textual and/or graphical information carriers, decorative panels, etc.The process for manufacturing a decorative veneer information carrier comprises grinding one side of the veneer, cutting into separate workpieces, wetting the workpiece by immersion in 5…10% aqueous solution of rock salt for 5..20 s, rinsing the workpiece in sea water for 20…30 s, forming the three-dimensional image, which comprises compressing the workpiece in the press between the plates heated to a temperature of 200…250°C for 0.5…2.5 min, applying on the ground surface of the textual and/or figurative elements by the typographic printing method, working the final product with mordant, and drying. After drying, it may be applied a transparent protective layer.
