Abstract

The invention relates to the field of dimensional electrochemical machining, in particular to the technology for production of arbitrary cavities within the machined material, and can be used in the machine building industry for working of tough metals and alloys.The tool electrode for dimensional electrochemical machining comprises a hollow cylindrical body (1) covered with dielectric material (6) and a longitudinal tube (7) for supplying the electrolyte. Inside the body (1), to its lower part is fixed a working part of variable shape (3), made with the possibility of its extrusion from the inner cavity (2) of the body (1) in the space between the tool electrode and the workpiece (5). The working part of variable shape (3) is made of metallized rubber with sectors of varying elasticity. The inner cavity (2) of the body (1) is filled with volatile liquid (4) and is equipped with a thermostat, which includes a heating element (10) and a cooling element (11), connected to a control unit (9). The longitudinal tube (7) is made with the possibility to move along the axis. The tube (7) is connected to the working part of variable shape (3), and their place of connection is made as a part of the body of revolution (8).The process for dimensional electrochemical machining involves supply of electrolyte into the cavity between the tool electrode and the workpiece, connection of the body to the power source, punch in the workpiece of a cylindrical channel at a given depth by anodic dissolution, increase of the pressure in the inner cavity of the body, as a result of which the working part of variable shape is extruded from the inner cavity of the body in the space between the tool electrode and the workpiece, with the change of configuration, at the same time with the working part of variable shape by the same method is made a cavity of required dimensions, then from the control unit is turned off the heating element and is connected the cooling element, the pressure in the inner cavity of the working part of variable shape drops and it returns to its original position.
