Abstract
The invention relates to the technology for production of alternative sources of ecologically clean fuel, namely to a process for production of biodiesel.The process, according to the invention, comprises the transesterification of vegetable oils with alcohols, pre-treated with alkalis, upon heating of mixture to a temperature of 65…70°C and ultrasound exposure with the frequency of 15…25 kHz and the intensity of 0.10…0.15 W/cm2 during 1…2 hours, separation of the lower glycerin phase and neutralization of the upper phase. At the same time, as alcohols is used a dehydrated mixture of fusel oil and ethanol in the ratio of (0.25…0.30) : 1. The dehydrated mixture of fusel oil and ethanol is produced in two stages, in the first stage is carried out the crystallization of water by freezing at the temperature of -15…-25°C, while in the second stage the mixture is treated with calcined copper sulphate. Then the crystallohydrate of copper sulphate (CuSO4·5H2O) is subjected to regeneration by calcination at the temperature of 150…250°C.
