Abstract

The invention relates to agriculture, particularly plant growing, and can be used to control the onion growth and development processes.The process, according to the invention, includes soaking of onion seeds before sowing into an aqueous solution of tomatozide with the formula 5α-furostan-3&bgr;,22,26-triol-3-¢O-&bgr;-D-glucopyranosyl(1→2)-&bgr;-D-glucopyranosyl(1→4)-&bgr;-D-galactopyranoside]-26-O-&bgr;-D-glucopyranoside with the concentration of 0.001…0.01%, during 5 minutes.The result of the invention consists in the use of a preparation with a lower cost, which increases the seed germinative energy.
