Abstract

The invention relates to agriculture, in particular to mulching and loosening of soil in gardens.The process for mulching and loosening of soil, according to the invention, includes the removal of weeds, covering of soil in the garden using mulching and loosening devices, made in the form of a block of series-connected rectangular shields, fitted with ringed harrows, which are placed in the intervals between the rows of a width not exceeding 300 cm or on both sides of the rows of plants with periodic displacement of devices every 20 days along the row with the concomitant loosening of soil.The device for mulching and loosening of soil, according to the invention, is made in the form of a block of series-connected rectangular shields (2), containing flexible elements, formed of bundles of plant or artificial debris, wrapped in polyethylene film, of a diameter of 6...10 cm and a length of 50...300 cm, placed with partial overlap and attached perpendicularly to two parallel guides (1), to the ends of which are attached ringed harrows (4), and the distance between the shields (2) in the block is equal to the length of one shield.The result of the invention is to provide the mulching of soil with its concomitant loosening, as well as to facilitate the process of displacement of the mulching device.
