Abstract

The invention relates to agriculture, namely to horticulture, in particular to a process for soil tillage in perennial plantings. The process, according to the invention, includes the autumn or spring tillage of soil in the spaces between rows of plantings by means of a cultivator. The tillage is carried out in a band of a width of 55 cm on both sides of the row and includes the pruning of roots to a depth of 40 cm with a passive knife, mounted on the frame of the cultivator, and loosening of soil to a depth of 30 m with two loosening hoes, mounted near the knife at a distance of 5 cm. At the same time, the soil tillage is carried out every two years, beginning with the third year after planting at a distance of 0.5 m from the row line during the first tillage, with an increase in the corresponding distance from the row line by 0.2 m during each subsequent tillage until the bands of the tilled soil come together in the middle of the spaces between the rows of plants. The result is to simplify the soil maintenance technology, to provide the suspension of excessive decomposition of humus and to increase the productivity of perennial crops.
