Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the production of iron foil, which can be used in electronic and radio industry.The claimed process includes the electrolytic deposition of iron in the form of an iron foil on a rotating drum-cathode, partially immersed in an electrolyte, containing iron chloride, in which is installed a soluble anode and the subsequent separation of the deposited iron foil. At the same time, the drum-cathode is made of glassy carbon, and the electrolytic deposition is carried out from the electrolyte containing 500…600 g/L of iron chloride and 1…2 g/L of rubidium chloride, at the temperature of 85…90°C and the current cathodic density of 30…50 A/dm2.
