Abstract
The invention relates to the chemical industry, namely, to a process for active γ-MnO2 preparation and may be used as active electrochemical mass for dry primary-cell elements and batteries with acid and alcaline electrolytes.There is proposed a process for active γ-MnO2 preparation, comprising the thermic oxidation of ions Mn(II) in the form of carbonate with the unorganic oxidants, where as base ingredient for preparation of γ-MnO2 active form is used γ-MnCO3 at the density of 4,2 g/cm3 which is oxidized at 300-350°C under constant pressure 1,5-2 atm, during 20-60 min at further acidic hydrolisis in the 2NH2SO4 solution in the ratio of 1:2 (sediment:acid) and further washing with the deionized water up to pH 4,5-5,0 as the oxidant it is used the faintly acidated with H2SO4 0,5% solution 15% in the presence of air oxygen.The technical result consists in the fact, that the obtained γ-MnO2 active form compound is pure in comparation with the prototype, having:- purification grade of ≥98,5%- lowerer acidity index (pH sample) - 4,5-5,0- high density - 4,2 g/cm2.Moreover, the invention has the following advantages:- there are excluded the pollution sources with alcaline metals iones and chlorine aniones;- there is three times diminuated the quantity of γ-MnO2 preparation stages;- the electric and thermic energy consumption is 40% decreased.
