METHOD OF MAKING RELIEF'S DRAWING ON WOODEN ARTICLES

The invention relates to the woodworking industry, mainly to the manufacture of furniture and utilitarian decorative products.

Woodcarving is widely used in the production of furniture, sculptures, various decorative and utilitarian decorative articles for creating relief surfaces / 1 /.

The object of the present invention is to simplify the process of forming a relief drawing on the surface of wood products, to reduce their cost, especially in mass production.

The object is achieved by using a known electrically heated nichrome wire as a cutting tool using a known method of forming a relief pattern on the surface of a wood product by means of a predetermined pattern.

The proposed method offers the following advantages over the existing method:

a / Woodcuts do not require highly qualified staff; b / the cutting resistance is low, which allows the use of all types of wood, including wood with gnaws, except rot, wormholes and falling branches; c / No expensive cutting tools required.

These advantages allow to simplify the process of making wood products with embossed patterns and to reduce the cost price of products, especially in mass production.

Example. Prepare / mark the required ornament / drawing on the surface of the product.

In accordance with the recommended technique, electrically heated nichrome wire is used as the cutting tool, Wire parameters - diameter 0.3 to 0.8 mm, length 0.5 m.

A 220/36 V transformer is used as the power source for heating the nichrome wire. The wire is secured between two handles, one of which is fitted with a microswitch. A special weight may be used instead of the other handle.

You can also use a special template instead of the contour previously marked on the product surface.
