DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Technical Field of the Invention] The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cutting knife, and more specifically, to a cutting knife in which a handle portion serving as a handle and a blade portion serving as a blade are integrally made of metal materials. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a decorative knife that can form a beautiful cloud pattern on the surface of the knife.

As is well known, conventionally used general-purpose knives include folding knives, in which the blade is folded into a sheath like a jacket knife.
There are two types of knives: a sheath knife, which has a blade part and a handle part made of a metal material, and a pointed knife. However, in the case of "folding knives" such as jacket knives, the outer surface of the sheath, which also serves as a handle, can be decorated, and as such a product form is approved on the market, there are only minor complaints. is not asked.

However, since the latter knife is made entirely of metal, a decorative handle made of natural wood, deer antler, ivory, etc. that can be used for gripping is attached to the handle. However, it has been pointed out that this increases the manufacturing cost and also has the disadvantage that dirt adheres to the mounting part of the decorative handle, making it unsightly. 'Flow'
If you apply this technique, you can create a ``disturbed pattern'' on the blade, and you can also use damascus steel.
By using steel, it is possible to create a damask pattern like a Damascus sword, but in either case, it is created by combining ferrous metals, hard steel and mild steel. As a result, not only the pattern formed is achromatic, but also the handle portion and the blade portion tend to have the same color and pattern, resulting in a lack of variability.

That is, in the present invention, in laminating and integrating a plurality of types of non-hardenable metal plates that do not harden even after being subjected to quenching temperature, on the upper and lower surfaces of the blade steel plate material 1', As the non-hardenable metal plate material to be used, layered plywood plates made by butting colored metal and achromatic metal are interposed in a hierarchical manner, and the laminated blade steel plate material 1' and the non-hardenable metal are interposed in a hierarchical manner. The plates are joined and integrated by the cladding method to obtain a laminated metal plate C having a blade steel layer 1, and then a knife prototype is cut out from this laminated metal plate, and the cut knife prototype is subjected to forging and grinding. After shaping into a knife shape having a handle part H and a blade part B, it is hardened and tempered, and then final finishing processes such as cutting edge processing and polishing are performed. A series of processes in which a chromatic cloud pattern appears on the surface of either the handle part H or the blade part B, and an achromatic cloud pattern appears on the remaining part by the turbostratic action caused by plastic deformation and the exposure action caused by grinding. By adopting this metal processing method, it became possible to efficiently manufacture a cutting knife with a cloud pattern with different colors on the handle and blade parts.

Next, what is indicated by the reference numeral 2 is a butted plate material made by butting either of the chromatic metal plates 21 and 22 with an achromatic metal plate 23. In this embodiment, the chromatic metal plate 21 is made of copper-colored copper ( JIS C1220), golden brass as the chromatic metal plate 22 (JIS C4622)
has been adopted. Further, as the achromatic metal plate 23, light gray stainless steel (JIS SUS430) is used.

In this embodiment method, each of the metal plate materials 1', 2,
3 are stacked in the order shown in Figure 1, the ends are sealed and welded, and placed in a heating furnace at 850-870°C.
When the material was heated to 100% and rolled under a rolling load of 40 kg/mm 2 while still in a heated state, a laminated metal plate C (thickness: 10 mm, width: 200 mm) as shown in FIG. 2 was obtained. In addition, in FIG. 2, the part indicated by the symbol C 1 is a chromatic cloud pattern forming area, and the chromatic metal 21, 2 is a chromatic cloud pattern forming area.
There is a bonding layer of the achromatic metal 23 in the achromatic cloud pattern forming area indicated by the symbol C2 .

After grinding, cutting, quenching, and tempering, the handle part H exhibited a chromatic cloud pattern consisting of gold, silver, and red (copper red), as shown in Figure 4, and the blade In Part B, a very beautiful cut-out knife was produced that exhibited an achromatic cloud pattern made up of shades of silver and gray. Incidentally, in this example, quenching was performed at approximately 830°C under oil cooling, and tempering was performed at 220°C.

Although the method of this example is generally as described above, the present invention is by no means limited to the above-mentioned example, and various changes can be made within the scope of the claims. The combination of chromatic metals adopted in the method can be selected from various combinations depending on the user's preferences such as color tone and contrast. Naturally, it is possible to partially limit the handle (such as the end of the handle), and it is also possible to easily change the coloring by bringing it into contact with chemicals. It goes without saying that these also belong to the technical scope of the present invention.

In addition, in the cutting knife produced by the method of the present invention, both the handle and the blade are completely integrated and have no seams, so colored Damascus steel and colored Damascus steel can be joined by welding. Since there is no weld bead formed like when the knife is made using traditional methods, the finished product is beautiful, and unlike conventional sheath knives with decorative handles carved with deer antler, there is no possibility of dirt or dust adhering to the mounting area. , it can be kept beautiful forever, and it can also be said to be ideal from a hygiene perspective.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to freely distinguish between chromatic cloud patterns and achromatic cloud patterns, which were completely impossible with conventional methods, and to express them on the handle and blade of the cutting knife. Therefore, the contribution to the improvement of knife cosmetic technology is extremely large.
