Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines wenigstens abschnittsweise aus einer Messinglegierung gebildeten Kontaktelements sowie ein wenigstens abschnittsweise aus einer Messinglegierung gebildetes Kontaktelement. Um ein Verfahren bereitzustellen, das sowohl ein produktives und wirtschaftliches Herstellen eines Kontaktelements wenigstens abschnittsweise aus bleifreien Messinglegierungen mittels Formgebung, insbesondere durch spanabhebende Verfahren, als auch die prozesssichere Kontaktierung mittels Crimpen, beispielsweise von Steckkontakten, ermöglicht, ist vorgesehen, dass bei dem Verfahren zum Herstellen eines wenigstens abschnittsweise aus einer Messinglegierung gebildeten Kontaktelements zunächst ein Bereitstellen eines Rohlings für das Kontaktelement stattfindet, wobei nachfolgend der Gefügezustand dieses Rohlings mittels einer ersten Wärmebehandlung zum Erhöhen des U-Phasenanteils geändert wird, wonach ein Bilden des Kontaktelements aus dem Rohling mit einem erhöhten ß-Phasenanteil erfolgt. Schließlich wird eine Änderung des Gefügezustandes des gebildeten Kontaktelements mittels einer zweiten Wärmebehandlung zum Erhöhen des a-Phasenanteils vorgenommen.
