본 발명은 전계 방출 디스플레이 제작 방법을 개시한다. 상기 제작 방법은 복수개의 에미터 및 게이트 전극으로 이루어진 화소들 사이에 스페이서를 설치하고 일측벽이 개방된 상태로 테두리를 따라서 측벽이 형성된 하부기판을 준비하는 제1단계와, 상기 하부 기판상부에 상부 기판을 부착시켜서 모재를 형성시키는 제2단계와, 상기 모재를 진공 챔버에 설치하여서 개방된 측벽을 밀봉시키는 제3단계로 이루어져 있으며 이에 의해서 내부공간을 진공 상태로 유지시키기 위하여 배기구를 기판상에 형성시킬 필요가 없으며 또한 상기 배기구와 진공펌프를 연결시키고 있는 연결용 유리관을 절단시킬 필요가 없으므로 상기 내부 공간은 고진공 상태로 유지될 수 있다.The present invention discloses a method for making a field emission display.
