Abstract
본 발명은 자동 시각설정을 원하는 채널이나 시각 조정량을 사용자가 설정할 수 있도록 하여 시간 영역(time zone)이 다른 2개 이상의 채널인접 지역이나 난시청 지역에서의 ATS동작 에러를 줄일 수 있는 영상기기의 자동 시각설정방법에 관한 것인 바, 그 특징적인 구성으로는 ATS기능을 수행하기 위한 조건이 선택되는가를 체크하는 제1단계와, 상기 제1단계에서 ATS 수행 조건이 선택되면 선택된 해당 채널을 선국하여 영상신호를 읽어들이고 그 영상신호의 VBI구간에 클럭데이터가 존재하는가를 판단하여 클럭데이터의 존재여부를 따른 메세지를 화면에 OSD로 표시하는 제2단계와, 상기 제2단계에서 표시되는 클럭데이터와 현재 시각과의 차이값을 사용자가 설정하면 그 차이 값으로 클럭데이터를 보정하여 현재의 시각과 일치시킨 후 메모리에 저장하는 제3단계와, 상기 제1단계에서 ATS수행 조건이 선택되지 않으면 클럭데이터가 존재하는 채널까지 낮은 채널부터 차례로 선국하여 해당 채널의 클럭데이터를 읽어들여 메모리에 저장하는 제4단계로 이루어짐에 있다.According to the present invention, a user can set a channel or time adjustment amount for automatic time setting so that an ATS operation error can be reduced in two or more channel adjacent areas or astigmatism areas having different time zones.
