Abstract

본 발명은 텔레비젼의 채널 선국장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 텔레비젼의 방송의 수신시 동일한 채널의 방송이 2개이상 수신되면 이를 피아이피(PIP : Picture In Picture)형태로 화면에 디스플레이하여 시청자가 이를 보면서 간편하게 최적의 화면을 선택하여 기억시킬 수 있게 하는 텔레비젼의 채널 선국장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 지역 특성상 동일한 방송신호가 여러 채널을 통해 수신되는 경우가 빈번히 발생되는데, 일반적인 자동 채널 선국 시스템에 있어서는 동일한 방송신호가 수신될 때 비교판단하는 기능이 구비되어 있지 않아 무조건 방송 신호가 존재하는 모든 채널을 기억한 후 시청자의 판단에 따라 보다 양호한 채널의 번호를 기억하게 되어 있어 선국하는데 시간이 많이 소요될뿐더러 양호한 채널을 선택하는데 어려움이 있고, 상승/하강키를 이용하여 자기가 원하는 방송채널을 확인한 후 원하는 방향으로 진행시켜야 되는 번거로운 문제점이 있었으나, 본 발명에서는 KBPS신호를 통해 방송국명을 인지하여 동일방송국명의 채널이 2개 이상 존재하는 경우 그 채널들을 피아이피화면으로 디스플레이하여 사용자가 최적의 화면을 선택하여 채널을 선국함으로써 채널선국의 간편성이 증대되는 효과가 있게 되며, 채널 안내키를 부가하여 디스플레이된 방송국명 및 해당채널을 선택하여 이에 해당하는 화면을 피아이피화면을 통해 보여줌으로써 시청자가 수신상태를 확실히 인지하여 채널을 선국하는 효과가 있게 된다.The present invention relates to a channel channel selection apparatus and method of a television, and in particular, when two or more broadcasts of the same channel are received when a television broadcast is received, the display is displayed on the screen in the form of a picture (PIP: PIP).
