Abstract

본 발명은 액정표시소자를 구성하는 화소전극 자체의 광투과율 감소를 화소전극구조를 변경하여 보상해 주는 액정표시소자에 제공하기 위한 것이다.
이러한 본 발명의 액정표시소자는 개개의 화소전극을 하나의 투광성 기판 상에서 그 자체의 전기적 연결을 유지하면서 선택적으로 식각하여 구성한 것을 특징으로 한다.

Claims (2)

  1. 한쌍의 투광성 기판과, 상기 한쌍의 투광성 기판 사이에 충진되고 그의 광학특성이 인가전압에 응답하여 변조될 수 있는 표시매체와, 상기 한쌍의 기판 중의 하나의 내부표면상에 매트릭스로 배열되어 있고, 각각 복수의 분할화소전극을 포함하는 화소전극과, 각 분할화소전극이 형성된 동일 기판에 각 분할화소전극과 전기 적으로 접속되는 스위칭 소자와, 개개의 분할화소전극에 스위칭 소자를 통하여 데이타 신호전압을 인가하는 데이타 라인과, 개개의 스위칭 소자를 구동하기 위한 구동전압을 인가하는 게이트 라인을 구비한 액정표시장치에 있어서, 상기 개개의 화소전극을 하나의 투광성 기판 상에서 그 자체의 전기적 연결을 유지하면서 선택적으로 식각하여 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시소자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소전극의 식각된 형상은 머리빗형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
