Abstract

Claims (10)

  1. 통신 시스템에 있어서, 제1변조 기술에 의해 변조된 통신 신호 및 상기 제1변조 기술과는 다른 제2변조 기술에 의해 변조된 통신 신호를 변조 및 전송하는 송신기; 및 상기 제1변조 기술에 의해 변조된 상기 통신 신호 및 상기 제2변조 기술에 의해 변조된 상기 통신 신호를 수신하고, 이들 통신 신호들을 복조시킬 수 있는 수신기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1변조 기술이 진폭 변조이고 상기 제2변조 기술이 주파수 변조인 것을 특징으로하는 통신 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1변조 기술이 미분 1/4 위상 편이 변조(differential quaternary phase shift keying)이고 상기 제2변조 기술이 4-레벨 주파수 편이 변조(4-level frequency shift keying)인 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1변조 기술에 의해 변조된 상기 통신 신호는 상기 송신기에 저전력 소비가 요구될 때 전송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 시스템.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2변조 기술에 의해 변조된 상기 통신 신호는 상기 송신기에 더 큰 신호 유효 범위(coverage)가 요구될 때 전송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  6. 통신 유닛에 있어서, 제1변조 기술에 의해 통신 신호를 변조하고, 제1변조된 신호를 생성하는 수단; 상기 제1변조 기술과는 다른 제2변조 기술에 의해 통신 신호를 변조하고, 제2변조된 신호를 생성하는 수단; 상기 제1변조된 신호와 상기 제2변조된 신호 둘 사이에서 선택하고, 선택된 신호를 생성하는 수단; 및 상기 선택된 신호를 전송하는 송신기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 유닛.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제1변조 기술은 진폭 변조하고 상기 제2변조 기술은 주파수 변조인 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 유닛.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 제1변조 기술은 미분 1/4 위상 편이 변조이고 상기 제2변조 기술은 4-레벨 주파수 편이 변조인 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 유닛.
  9. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제1변조된 신호는 송신기에 저전력 소비가 요구될 때 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 유닛.
  10. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제2변조된 신호는 송신기에 더 큰 신호 유효 범위가 요구될 때 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 유닛.
