본 발명은 진공을 필요로 하는 평판 표시소자의 가스 배기를 위한 구멍과 유리관을 간단하고도 안정감 있게 연결하고 그주변의 밀봉도를 개선할 수 있도록 한 평판 표시소자의 유리관 연결방법에 관한 것으로, 이를 위하여 본 발명은, 비시청면인 하부기판에 형성된 배기구멍에 연결하고자 하는 가스 배출용 유리관의 삽입이 가능한 구멍을 갖는 환형 디스크에 상기 유리관을 조합하고, 배기구멍 주위중 환형 디스크를 접착하고자 하는 부분에 스크린 프린팅을 수행하며, 환형 디스크가 조합된 유리관을 배기구멍과 일치하도록 정렬한 다음 유리관과 환형 디스크가 면하는 부분에 프릿 유리를 바르고 소성함으로서 유리관을 배기구멍에 연결하도록 함으로서, 흔들림 없이 보다 안정되게 유리관을 배기구멍에 연결할 수 있어 평판 표시소자의 제조시에 배기공정에서의 작업효율을 효과적으로 개선할 수 있는 것이다.The present invention relates to a method for connecting a glass tube of a flat panel display device, which enables simple and stable connection between a hole and a glass tube for evacuation of a flat panel display device requiring a vacuum, and improves the sealing of the surroundings thereof.
