Abstract

본 발명은 잠복성 머캡탄―함유 열 안정제 조성물을 포함하는 할로겐―함유 중합체 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 상기 중합체 조성물은 유리된 머캡탄을 포함하는 잠복성(즉, 보호된) 머캡탄의 분해 생성물에 의해서, 그 중합체를 처리하는 동안에 통상적인 머캡탄과 관련되어 발생하는 악취가 없다. 그밖의 분해 생성물은 전자 결핍이 몇 개의 기에 의해 공유되어 있는 분자 구조에 의해서 안정화된 보호성 부분의 탄소양이온을 포함한다. 본 발명의 잠복성 머캡탄은 단독을 열안정제 첨가제가 되지만, 처리중에 방출된 유리된 머캡탄은 중합체 조성물내에서 유기주석 카르복실레이트 및 머캡타이드와 같은 금속염 및 유기금속 안정제등의 금속계 열 안정제의 활성을 상승시킬 수 있다. 또한 잠복성 머캡탄은 황산화제, 항미생물제, 광안정제, 및 주요 열 안정제의 제조시에 중간체로서 사용될 수 있다. 이와 같은 효능이 우수한 열 안정제는 포름알데히드와 파라―페놀을 축합반응시킨후에 미정제 생성물을 머캡토―함유 화합물과 추가로 축합반응시키므로써 제조된다.

Claims (51)

  1. 고온하에서 조성물을 처리하는 동안에 존재하는 보호된 머캡탄의 분해 성성물을 포함하는 중합체 조성물로서, 상기 생성물이 유리된 머캡탄을 포함하는 중합체 조성물.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보호된 머캡탄이 하기 구조식으로 표시되는 중합체 조성물 :
    상기 식에서, a는 0 또는 1이고, m 및 n은 0 또는 1이며; y는 1 내지 4로서 y=1인 경우 z는
    1 내지 4이고, y가 1보다 클 경우 z는 1이며; R1은 1 내지 22개의 탄소원자를 가지는 알킬, 알킬레닐, 시클로알킬, 시클로알킬레닐, 시클로알콕시, 아릴, 알칼릴, 아르알킬, 아르알킬레닐, 히드록시알킬, 머캡토알킬, 머캡토알킬레닐, 머캡토알콕시, 카르보닐알킬레닐, 히드록시아릴, 머캡토아릴, 카르복시알킬, 카르복시아릴, 또는 아실기이고; R2, R3, R4, R5, R6및 R7은 각각 수소원자, 히드록시, 머캡토 1 내지 22개의 탄소원자를 가지는 알킬, 알킬레닐, 아릴, 할로알킬, 알카릴, 아르알킬, 히드록시알킬, 머캡토알킬, 히드록시아릴, 알콕시히드록시아릴, 또는 머캡토아릴기이고; X는 아릴, 할로아릴, 알카릴, 아르알카릴, 알콕시아릴, 아릴시클로알킬 또는 헤테로 원자이되; 단, a=1이고 m=0인 경우 R1, R3및 R5중 하나는 R7및 X와 결합하여 산소 및 황으로 이루어진 군중에서 선택된 X를 헤테로 원자로 하는 헤테로시클릭 부분을 형성할 수 있고; m=1인 경우 R6과 R7이 질소 원자인 X와 함께 헤테로시클릭 부분을 형성할 수 있음을 조건으로 하며; 또한 X가 아르알카릴이고, R6과 R7이 히드록시이고, a=1인 경우 z는 1 또는 2이며; R6≠히드록시 또는 머캡토일 경우 z는 1임을 조건으로 한다.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, X가 질소원자이고, m은 2이고, R6와 R7이 X와 함께 헤테로시클릭 부분을 형성하며, n은 0인 조성물.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, R1이 히드록시알킬인 조성물.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, X가 질소원자이고, m은 1이고, R6는 아실이고, R4는 알킬이고, R1은 히드록시알킬이며, n은 0일 조성물.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, X는 산소원자이고, m은 0이고, R5와 R7이 X와 함께 헤테로시클릭 부분을 형성하며, n은 0인 조성물.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, R1이 히드록시알킬인 조성물.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, R1이 시클로알콕실옥시알킬인 조성물.

  45. PVC용 금속계 열 안정제와 하기 일반식으로 표시되는 보호된 머캡탄을 주성분으로 하여 PVC를 안정화시키기 위한 조성물 :
    상기 식에서, a는 0 또는 1이고, m 및 n은 0 또는 1이며; y는 1 내지 4로서 y=1인 경우 z는 1 내지 4이고, y가 1보다 클 경우 z는 1이며; R1은 1 내지 22개의 탄소원자를 가지는 알킬, 알킬레닐, 시클로알킬, 시클로알킬레닐, 시클로알콕시, 아릴, 알카릴, 아르알킬, 아르알킬레닐, 히드록시알킬, 머캡토알킬, 머캡토알킬레닐, 머캡토알콕시, 카르보닐알킬레닐, 히드록시아릴, 머캡토아릴, 카르복시알킬, 카르복시아릴, 또는 아실기이고; R2, R3, R4, R5, R6및 R7은 각각 수소원자, 히드록시, 머캡토, 1 내지 22개의 탄소원자를 가지는 알킬, 알킬레닐, 아릴, 할로아릴, 알카릴, 아르알킬, 히드록시알킬, 머캡토알킬, 히드록시아릴, 알콕시히드록시아릴, 또는 머캡토아릴기이고; X는 아릴, 할로아릴, 알카릴, 아르알카릴, 알콕시아릴, 아릴시클로알킬 또는 헤테로 원자이되; 단, a=1이고 m=0인 경우 R1, R3또는 R5중 하나는 R7및 X와 결합하여 산소 및 황으로 이루어진 군중에서 선택된 X를 헤테로 원자로 하는 헤테로시클릭 부분을 형성할 수 있고; m=1인 경우 R6과 R7이 질소원자인 X와 함께 헤테로시클릭 부분을 형성할 수 있음을 조건으로 하며; 또한 X가 아르알카릴이고, R6과 R7이 히드록시이고, a=1이고 m=1인 경우 z는 1 또는 2이며; R6히드록시 또는 머캡토일 경우 z는 1임을 로 한다.
  46. 제2항에 있어서, m이 0이고, X는 알콕시페닐이며, R7은 히드록시인 조성물.
  47. 할로겐―함유 중합체를 열에 의해 유발되는 변성에 대하여 안정화시킬 수 있는 조성물로서, 제44항에서 정의한 보호된 머캡탄을 열 안정제로서 포함하는 조성물.
  48. 할로겐―함유 중합체에 사용되는 열 안정제를 제조하는 방법으로서, 약60℃ 이하의 온도하에 수용액중에서 알칼리금속 수산화물의 존재하에 파라―치환된 페놀과 포름알데히드를, 당량 기준으로 페놀 : 포름알데히드의 비율을 1 : 1 내지 약 1 : 1.05로 하고, 페놀 : 알칼리금속 수산화물의 몰 비율을 약 1 : 1로 하여 축합반응 시키는 단계; 상기 반응 혼합물을 20℃ 이하로 냉각시키므로써 축합반응을 종료시키는 단계; 상기 혼합물을 중화시키는 단계; 수득한 축합반응 생성물을 분리시키는 단계; 및 상기 수득한 축합반응 생성물을 더 이상의 정제없이 알킬 머캡탄, 머캡토 에스테르, 머캡토 알코올 및 머캡토 산으로 이루어진 군중에서 선택된 머캡탄―함유 화합물과 함께 산촉매의 존재하에 약 40℃ 내지 약 120℃의 온도에서 축합반응시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  49. 제48항에 있어서, 상기 페놀/포름알데히드 축합반응중의 최고 온도가 약 50℃인 방법.
  50. 제49항에 있어서, 상기 온도가 약 35℃ 내지 약 50℃인 방법.
