Abstract
본 발명은 고화질 영상 시스템에 있어서, 웨이브렛 변환을 이용한 영상 부호화장치에 관한 것으로, 이를 해결하기 위해 영상의 대각선신호 엣지성분(D)를 하이, 로우패스필터와 2:1 감축기에 의해 처리됨과 더불어 이 출력되는 대각선 엣지성분(DD, DH, DV, DL)중 고주파 성분이 존재할 수 있는 대각선신호 엣지(DD)만을 벡터 양자화(VQ)하기 위한 제1 웨이브렛변환기 : 영상의 수평신호의 엣지성분(H)를 하이, 로우패스필터와 2:1 감축기에 의해 처리되고, 이 출력되는 수평신호(HD, HH, HV, HL)중 고주파 성분이 존재할 수 있는 수평신호의 대각선 엣지성분(HD)과 수평신호의 수평성분(HH)를 벡터 양자화(VQ)하기 위한 제2웨이브렛변환기 : 영상의 수직신호의 엣지성분(V)를 하이, 로우 패스필터와 2:1 감축기에 의해 처리됨과 더불어 이 출력되는 수직신호(VD, VH, VV, VL)중 고주파 성분이 존재할 수 있는 수직신호 대각선 엣지성분(VD)과 수직신호의 수직성분(VV)를 벡터 양자화(VQ)하기 위한 제3웨이브렛변환기: 영상의 저주파(L)를 하이, 로우패스필터와 2:1 감축기에 의해 처리되고, 이 출력되는 저주파신호(LD, LH, LV, LL)중 저주파신호의 대각선 엣지성분(LD)과 저주파신호의 수평성분(LH), 저주파신호의 수직성분(LV)은 각각 벡터 양자화(VQ)하고, 상기 저주파신호의 저주파성분(LL)은 이산여현변환(DCT)하기 위한 제4웨이브렛변환기를 포함하도록 구성된다.The present invention relates to an image encoding apparatus using wavelet transform in a high definition image system.
