Abstract

본 발명은 A/D컨버터의 자기진단방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로서, 특히 멀티플렉서를 이용하여 기준전압의 디지탈화된 값과 저장된 기준전압의 정상 디지탈값을 비교하는 방법으로 A/D컨버터의 자기진단을 수행하는 자기진단방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 이는 A/D컨버터의 자기진단테스트를 위한 기준전압신호를 A/D컨버터에 입력시키는 단계, 상기 입력된 기준전압신호를 디지탈화한 값과 미리 저장된 기준전압신호의 디지탈값의 비교단계, 및 상기 비교한 값의 동일성 여부에 따른 A/D컨버터의 정상여부 판단단계를 포함함을 특징으로 한다.
따라서, 본 발명은 A/D컨버터를 자기진단하는데 있어서, D/A컨버터를 사용하지 않고 단독으로 자기진단을 수행함으로서, A/D컨버터의 자기진단결과를 종래의 기술보다 월등히 신뢰할 수 있는 계기를 마련하였고, D/A컨버터를 사용하지 않으므로서 생산비 절감의 효과를 제공한다.

Claims (3)

  1. 아날로그/디지탈컨버터의 자기진단방법에 있어서, 아날로그/디지탈컨버터의 자기진단테스트를 위한 기준전압신호를 아날로그/디지탈컨버터에 입력시키는 단계; 상기 입력된 기준전압신호를 디지탈화한 값과 미리 저장된 기준전압신호의 디지탈값을 비교하는 단계; 및 상기 비교한 값의 동일성 여부에 따른 아날로그/디지탈컨버터의 정상여부를 판단하는 단계를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 아날로그/디지탈컨버터의 자기진단방법.
  2. 아날로그/디지탈컨버터의 자기진단장치에 있어서, 아날로그/디지탈컨버터에 입력되는 본래의 아날로그신호를 입력신호로 하는 입력단자 S1, 아날로그/디지탈컨버터의 자기진단을 수행하기 의해 기준이 되는 전압, 즉 시험전압을 입력신호로 하는 입력단자 S2, 및 상기 입력단자 S1과 S2를 택일하는 선택단자를 구비하는 멀티플렉서; 아날로그/디지탈컨버터의 자기진단을 수행하기 위해 시험전압으로서 기준전압을 발생하며, 상기 멀티플렉서의 입력단자 S2로 신호를 보내는 기준전압발생부; 상기 멀티플렉서의 입력단자 S1과 S2를 택일하는 멀티플렉서의 선택단자로서, 논리값이 ‘0’일때 입력단자 S1을 선택하고, 논리값이 ‘1’일때 입력단자 S2를 선택하도록 하는 논리전환부; 상기 기준전압발생부의 소정의 기준전압에 대한 디지탈값을 저장하는 저장부; 및 상기 기준전압발생부에서 발생되는 A/D컨버터에 의해 디지탈화된 값과 상기 저장부에 저장되어 있는 기준전압에 대한 디지탈값의 동일성 여부를 판단하는 제어부를 포함함음 특징으로 하는 아날로그/디지탈컨버터 자기진단장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 멀티플렉서의 입력단자 S1과 S2를 택일하는 멀티플렉서의 선택단자로서, 논리값이 ‘0’일때 입력단자 S1을 선택하고, 논리값이 ‘1’일때 입력단자 S2를 선택하도록 하는 논리전환부는 래취로 논리값 ‘0’, ‘1’을 상호 전환함을 특징으로 하는 아날로그/디지탈컨버터 자기진단장치.
