Abstract

본 발명은 홀형 캐소드 방식의 PDP를 개선한 PDP를 개시한다.
홀형 캐소드방식의 PDP는 캐소드의 캐소드홀을 형성하여 별도의 격벽 없이도 크로스 토오크를 방지하고 유효가시면적을 최대화 할수 있으나 균일한 방전과 형광체의 도포가 곤란하여 칼라 PDP의 구현에는 적절하지 못하였다.
본 발명에서는 아노드로부터 캐소드홀의 내부로 연장되는 전극봉을 구비하여 캐소드홀 내면 전체를 바전 면적으로 함으로써 방전효율을 최대화할 수 있으며 형광체의 도포도 극히 용이하게 하였다.

Claims (9)

  1. 아노드와, 이 아노드와의 교차부에 캐소드홀이 형성된 캐소드를 구비하는 플라즈마 표시소자에 있어서, 상기 아노드로부터 상기 캐소드홀의 내측으로 연장되는 전극봉이 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전극봉이 상기 캐소드홀의 상부까지 연장되는 높이를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐소드홀이 원형으로 구성되고 상기 전극봉이 상기 캐소드홀의 중앙으로 연장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전극봉이 도전성 금속 와이어로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 전극봉이 W 또는 Pt로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐소드홀을 구비하는 캐소드가 금속박판으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 아노드와 캐소드간에 이들을 전기적으로 분리하는 절연층이 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐소드홀의 저면에 형광체가 도포되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 아노드가 배면기판에 형성된 인입흠내에 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
