Abstract

현재의 텔레비젼 표준안에서 16 : 9 화상의 제안된 호환성 있는 전송은 몇가지 단점을 가진다. 하나의 단점은, 비디오 영상의 제 1 라인의 상기 라인이 수신기의 오버스캔 영역에서 손실되고 따라서 볼 수 없다. 그렇지만 16 : 9 화상에 대해 필요한 포멧변환으로 상기 라인은 레터박스의 제 1 가시라인으로 이송되고, 따라서 텔레비젼 화상의 가시부로 이동한다. 또다른 단점은 제1 및 2필드의 대응라인간의 313라인의 일시적인 지연이 존재한다는 것이다. 상기는 목적인 칼라코딩에 해롭다. 이는 제 1 필드가 제 2 필드에 대해 한 라인정도 오프셋되는 이유이다. 추가로 포멧 변환에 앞서 제 1 필드의 시작 및 제 2 필드의 끝에서 각 라인이 블랙으로 설정되는 것이다. 전송에 앞서, 헬퍼라인은 상기 방향으호 쉬프트된다.
본 발명에 따라 전송된 헬퍼라인의 두개가 본래 라인의 재구성시 전송되지 않았던 라인정보를 대체하며, 따라서, 헬퍼라인 및 레터박스 라인에 대한 기록/판독 제어가 단순화된다.

레터박스 신호의 디코딩 방법 및 장치(PROCESS AND CIRCUIT FOR DECODING LETTER-BOX SIGNALS)

제 1 도는 포멧변환에 앞서 스튜디오에서 16 : 9 화상라인의 배열도이다, 제 2 도는 포멧변환 후에 16 : 9 화상라인의 배열도이다, 제 3 도는 PAL 펄스 전송을 위해 제공되는 레터박스 및 헬퍼라인의 배열도이다. 제 4 도는 본 발명에 따른 PAL 펄스 디코더의 기본 블럭회로 다이아그램이다.

Claims (2)

  1. 레터박스 신호의 디코딩 방법에 있어서, 화상내용을 포함한 라인으로부터 제 1 필드의 각 제 1 라인(23) 및 제 2 필드의 각 마지막 라인이 전송기측에서 레터박스 포멧변환 전에 정의된 값, 특히 블랙으로 설정되고, 포멧변환 후에 제 1 필드의 헬퍼라인(23 내지 58)이 좀더 높은 번호의 라인방향으로 한 라인정도 쉬프트(변위)되고, 제 2 필드의 헬퍼라인(588 내지 623)은 좀더 낮은 번호의 라인방향으로 한 라인정도 쉬프트되며, 따라서 수신기측에서 본래 라인 (23 내지 623)의 재구축(45)을 위해 제 1 필드의 지나친 제 1 레터박스 라인(59) 대신에 각각 마지막 전송 또는 기록된 헬퍼라인(59)이 각각 사용되고, 제 2 필드이 지나친 마지막 레테박스 라인(587) 대신에 각각 제 1 전송 또는 기록된 헬퍼라인(587)이 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 레터박스 신호의 디코딩 방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 따른 방법을 위한 장치에 있어서, 헬퍼신호(42)를 저장하기 위한 수단 및 레터박스 신호(43)를 저장하기 위한 수단을 가지며, 기록/판독 제어에 의해 제어되어 대응하는 라인이 상기 수단에 공급되고 대응라인이 상기 수단으로부터 판독되어 전송기측에서 라인의 본래 수를 형성하기 위해 하방 재구성 매트릭스(45)로 되고, 따라서 헬퍼라인 및 레터박스 라인에 대한 기록 및 판독 둘다가, 각 지나친 레터박스 라인에 대해 상기점에서 연대기순으로 정렬된 헬퍼라인이 기록된다는 점에서 연속적으로 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제 1 항에 따른 방법을 위한 장치.
