Abstract

인쇄회로기판에 장착하기 위한 모듈라 잭 어셈블리(2)는 공통 통합 하우징(6)에 조립되고 백-투-백 미러 영상 대칭적으로 배치되는 다수의 모듈라 잭(4)을 구비한다. 커넥터 어셈블리(2) 주위에 차폐물(8)이 제공되며, 두 로우(3,5) 사이에도 차폐물이 제공되어 이들 간의 혼선을 억제시킨다. 소형으로 설계되어 커넥터 어셈블리의 길이를 증가시키지 않고도 많은 수의 포트를 제공하는 한편, 잭에 의해 수용되는 상보형 모듈라 플러그의 탄력성 로킹 래치로의 액세스가 우수하다.

Claims (11)

  1. 인쇄회로기판(PCB)에 장착하기 위한 전기 커넥터 어셈블리로써, 다수의 리셉터클 커넥터와 공통 메인 하우징을 구비하며, 각각의 리셉터클 커넥터는 절연부에 장착된 다수의 나란히 배치된 터미널을 구비하는 삽입물을 가지며, 터미널은 플러그 콘택부와 그로부터 대략 90도로 연장하는 인쇄회로기판 콘택부를 구비하고, 리셉터클 커넥터들은 공통 메인 하우징에 단단히 장착될 수 있는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리에 있어서, 리셉터클 커넥터들은 사실상 동일한 상보형 플러그 커넥터와 결합시키기 위한 플러그 수용부와 인쇄회로기판 장착부를 가지며, 상부 로우 및 하부 로우로 배열된 리셉터클 커넥터들은 상부 및 하부 로우의 플러그 수용부들이 사실상 미리 영상 배열로 배치되어 있으며, 로우들은 커넥터 어셈블 리가 조립될 때 PCB에 사실상 평행하게 되어있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 로우들 사이에는 이들 간의 혼선을 억제하기 위해 전기 전도성 중간 차폐물이 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 플러그 수용부는 리셉터클 커넥터에 단단히 고정시키기 위한 플러그 커넥터의 래칭수단이 커넬터 어셈블리의 대향된 하부측 및 상부측으로부터 용이하게 접근가능하도록 배치되어 있으며, 하부측은 PCB에 인접하여 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  4. 선행항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상부 로우의 삽입물은 하우 로우의 삽입물 위에 장착되며, 그 각각의 플러그 수용부는 사실상 백-투-백 관계로 배치되고 그 각각의 PCB 콘택부는 사실상 평행하게 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 중간 차폐물은 플러그 수용부 사이의 또한 PCB 장착부 사이의 상부 및 하부 로우 사이에 차폐가 제공되도록 L-자형으로 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 중간 차폐물은 그 측벽에서 커넥터 어셈블리의 하부측 아래로 PCB 쪽으로 돌출하여 접지회로 트레이스를 전기적으로 접촉하기 위한 태브를 가지며, 모듈라 잭의 로우의 한 단부에 접하는 측벽이 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 외부 차폐물이 커넥터 어셈블리의 외부 둘레에 제공되며, 정면 차폐부재는 커넥터 어셈블리의 정면측 위에 장착가능하며, 리셉터클 커넥터의 플러그 수용부와 정렬된 구멍을 가져서 결합용 플러그 커넥터를 수용하게 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 외부 차폐물은 정면 차폐부재에 고정될 수 있는 배면 차폐부재를 구비하며, 배면 차폐부재는 정면측과 대향하는 커넥터 어셈블리의 배면측 위에 장착가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 정면 및 배면 차폐부재는 상보형 래칭수단을 구비하는 중복 부분을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  10. 제7항 내지 9항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 외부 차폐물은 차폐부재의 측벽에서 커넥터 어셈블리의 하단부 아래로 연장하여 PCB 상에 접지회로 트레이스를 전기적으로 접촉하기 위한 태브를 가지며, 모듈라 잭의 로우의 한 단부에 접하는 측벽이 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
  11. 선행항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 공통 메인 하우징은 통합되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터 어셈블리.
