Abstract

스틸-프레임(still-frame) 비디오 신호들, 풀 모션(full motion) 비디오 신호들 및 오디오 신호들과 같은 다양한 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템은 선택된 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호를 합성할 수 있는 다수개의 합성 유니트들을 포함한다. 상기 합성 유니트들중의 하나는 각각의 멀티미디어 신호가 합성되도록 할당된다. 각각의 합성 유니트는 각각의 비디오 요소(element)의 크기, 위치 및 순서(precedence)와 각각의 오디오 요소의 이득과 같은, 멀티미디어 신호의 각각의 요소에 대한 다양한 성질들을 규정하는 파라미터들을 억셉트한다. 합성 유니트들은 압축된 형태로 제공되는 소스 신호들을 압축 해제하는 압축 해제기(decompressor)와 사용자에게 송신되어지도록 멀티미디어 신호를 압축하는 압축기(compressor)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 소스 신호들은 패킷 네트워크를 통해서 수신되어지고, 결과의 멀티미디어 신호들은 같은 패킷 네트워크를 통해서 각기 사용자에게 송신된다.

제1도는 본 발명의 멀티미디어 프레임을 사용하는 집적화된 텔레비젼 서비스들의 전체 블럭 다이어그램, 제2도는 상기 제1도의 시스템에서 제어 및 데이터 패킷의 전체 흐름을 도시하는 블럭 다이어그램, 제3도는 본 발명의 멀티미디어 프레임의 전체 블럭 다이어그램.

Claims (10)

  1. 소스(source) 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템에 있어서, 소스 신호들중에서 선택된 신호로 멀티미디어 신호를 각각 합성 가능하게 하는 다수개의 합성 유니트 수단과, 멀티미디어 신호에 대한 요청에 응답하여 상기 합성 유니트 수단중의 하나를 할당하는 수단과, 상기 요청된 멀티미디어 신호를 합성하도록 상기 할당된 합성 유니트 수단을 배열하는 수단과, 상기 요청에 응답하여 상기 선택된 소스 신호들을 상기 할당된 합성 유니트에 인가하는 수단; 및 상기 멀티미디어 신호를 이용 수단에 송신하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소스 신호들은 비디오 신호들을 포함하며, 각각의 상기 합성 유니트 수단은 비디오 신호를 적어도 하나의 비디오 파라미터에 따라 변경하는 적어도 하나의 비디오 신호 변경 수단을 포함하며; 상기 배열수단은 상기 비디오 파라미터들을 각각의 상기 비디오 신호 변경 수단에 적용하는 수단을 포함하며; 상기 합성 유니트 수단은 상기 비디오 신호 변경 수단의 출력들을 전체 화상을 나타내는 합성 비디오 신호로 조합하는 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 파라미터들중의 적어도 하나가 상기 소스 비디오 신호로부터 발생하는 화상의 상기 전체 화상의 크기에 영향을 미치는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 파라미터들중의 적어도 하나가 상기 소스 비디오 신호로부터 발생하는 화상의 상기 전체 화상의 위치에 영향을 미치는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 신호들중의 적어도 하나가 스틸 프레임(still frame) 비디오 신호인 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 신호들중의 적어도 하나가 풀 모션(full-motion) 비디오 신호인 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소스 신호들은 오디오 신호들을 포함하고, 각각의 상기 합성 유니트 수단은 오디오 신호를 적어도 하나의 오디오 파라미터에 따라 변경하는 적어도 하나의 수단을 포함하며; 상기 배열 수단은 상기 오디오 파라미터를 각각의 상기 오디오 신호 변경 수단에 적용하는 수단을 포함하며; 상기 합성 유니트 수단은 상기 오디오 신호 변경 수단의 출력들을 합성 오디오 신호를 합하는 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 오디오 파라미터들중의 적어도 하나가 상기 소스 오디오 신호의 이득에 영향을 미치는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소스 신호들중의 적어도 하나가 압축되어지고, 각각의 합성 유니트 수단은 적용된 소스 신호를 압축 해제하는 적어도 하나의 해제 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 멀티미디어 신호는 압축되어지고, 각각의 합성 유니트는 상기 합성 유니트에 의해 합성된 멀티미디어 신호를 압축하는 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 소스 신호들로부터 멀티미디어 신호들을 합성하는 시스템.
