Abstract

본 발명은 고선명 텔레비젼의 적응 양자화 방법 및 이를 이용한 시스템 부호기에 관한 것으로, 디지털 영상정보를 압축하여 저장하거나 전송하려 할 때 쓰이는, 일반적으로 알려진 H.261 및 동 영상전문가 그룹 또는 다수의 고선명 텔레비젼 알고리듬에서는 부호기의 출력을 일정 비트율로 하기 위해 발생되는 비트수를 완충기 제어방법을 써서 조절하고 있다.
본 발명은 이 완충기 제어방법에 영상의 움직임, 영상의 복잡도, 영상의 밝기에 따른 인간시각 시스템을 이용하여 처리단위 구획별로 양자화 간격을 조절함으로써, 주관적 화질을 향상시킬 수 있게된다.
따라서, 디지털 영상정보를 압축하여 일정 비트율로 출력하는 장치에 적용할 수 있다.

Description

고선명 텔레비젼의 적응 양자화 방법 및 이를 이용한 시스템 부호기
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제 1 도는 종래 고선명 텔레비젼의 부호기 구성도,
제 2 도는 본 발명 고선명 텔레비젼의 시스템 부호기 구성도,
제 3 도는 본 발명의 경계면 추출을 위한 대구획 배치도,
제 4 도는 제 3 도에 대한 대구획내의 소구획 배치도,
제 5 도는 본 발명의 영상바뀜 검출을 위한 프레임의 4구역 분할도,
제 6 도는 본 발명의 양자화 간격 산출을 위한 인간 시각시스템 인자(QSP2)산출 흐름도이다.

Claims (4)

  1. 입력영상을 분석하여 부호화를 자세하게 할 부분과 그렇지않은 부분을 판별하는 영상분석기(10)와; 입력영상을 1프레임 지연시키는 프레임 지연기(11)와; 이전 프레임 영상을 저장하고 있는 메모리(1)와; 이 메모리(1)에 저장된 이전 프레임과 프레임 지연기(11)를 통해 1프레임 지연된 입력영상을 비교하여 움직임 정보를 검출하는 움직임 추정기(2)와; 이 움직임 추정기(2)에서 검출된 움직임 정보에 따라 상기 메모리(1)에 저장된 이전 프레임에서 영상을 추출하는 움직임 보상기(3)와; 이 움직임 보상기(3)에서 추출된 영상에 의해 프레임 지연기(11)를 통해 1프레임 지연된 입력영상을 8×8변환크기로 이산코사인 변환하는 이산코사인 변환기(4)와; 상기 영상분석기(10)에서 보내온 정보와 완충기(9)에서 보내온 정보를 가지고 이산코사인 변환기(4)에서 변환된 계수의 양자화 간격을 산출한 후 양자화하는 적응 양자화기(5)와; 이 적응 양자화기(5)에서 양자화된 데이터를 이산코사인 변환계수로 복원하는 역 양자화기(6)와; 이 역 양자화기(6)에서 출력된 12비트의 계수를 입력받아 9비트의 화소데이타로 복원하는 역 이산코사인 변환기(7)와; 상기 적응 양자화기(5)에서 양자화된 이산코사인 변화계수 및 다른 정보들을 가변길이 부호화하는 가변길이 부호화기(8)와; 이 가변길이 부호화기(8)에서 일정비트율로 전송되는 출력을 조절하기 위한 완충기(9)로 구성함을 특징으로 하는 고선명 텔레비젼의 시스템 부호기.
  2. 이산코사인 변환계수를 양자화하는데 있어서, 인간시각 시스템을 이용하여 대 구획단위로 복잡도, 경계면유무, 움직임, 영상 바뀜, 밝기에 따라 양자화 간격을 변화시켜 영상의 특성에 따른 비트 할당을 적절히 함으로써 주관적 화질을 향상시키도록 함을 특징으로 하는 고선명 텔레비젼의 적응 양자화 방법.
  3. 제 2항에 있어서, 경계면 및 영상밝기를 대 구획단위별로 검출하고, 영상바뀜은 프레임 단위별로 검출함을 특징으로 하는 고선명 텔레비젼의 적응 양자화 방법.
  4. 제 2항에 있어서, 영상의 복잡도, 경계면 유무, 움직임, 영상바뀜, 밝기 정보를 가지고 완충기 충만도를 의해 산출된 양자화 간격을 대 구획 단위별로 조절함을 특징으로 하는 고선명 텔레비젼의 적응 양자화 방법.
