Abstract

본 발명은 칼라액정 표시장치의 칼라필터 제조방법은 배향재에 염료를 혼합한 후 편광레이저의 레이져빔을 방사하여 해당칼라 패턴의 배향방향을 90°회전시키는 제조 방법에 의해 칼라 필터를 제조하게 됨으로 제조공정이 간단하고 굴절율에 따른 투과도 특성이 향상되도록 하는 효과가 있다.

제1도는 본발명의 제조방법에 의해 제조된 칼라필터의 구조도이다.
제2도는 종래기술에 의해서 제조된 칼라필터의 구조도이다.

Claims (1)

  1. 칼라액정 표시장치의 칼라필터제조 방법에 있어서, 글래스기판에 I. T. O패턴을 형성시키는 단계와, 이 I. T. O패턴위에 배향재와 칼라염료를 혼합한 형성물을 도포시키는 단계와, 각 칼라의 파장에 해당하는 편광레이저빔을 각 칼라에 상응하는 위치의 상기 형성물에 각각 조사시키는 단계와, 상기 편광레이저빔 조사에 의해 형성된 각 칼라패턴에 각 칼라에 해당되는 편광레이져빔을 재차 조사하여 해당 칼라패턴의 칼라 입자들의 배열을 90°회전시키는 단계로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 칼라액정표시장치의 칼라필터 제조방법.
