제2도는 파이프라인 시스템의 통상적인 동작에 관한 순서도이다.
제3도는 파이프라인 시스템의 PALY-AV 절차의 특수한 동작에 관한 순서도이다.

Claims (16)

  1. 계수화된 오디오 및 비디오를 디스플레이시키는 매체 파이프라인 시스템에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 매체 파일은 계수화된 오디오 매체 데이타를 가지며, 적어도 다른 하나의 매체 파일은 계수화된 오디오 매체 데이타를 가지며, 적어도 다른 하나의 매체 파일은 오디오 매체 데이타를 가지며, 상기 각 매체파일이 복수의 프레임으로 분할되는 복수의 상기 매체 파일을 받아들여 이용가능하게 하는 매체 파일 데이타베이스와; 복수의 링버퍼와, 디스플레이되기 전의 매체 데이타를 기억하는 있는 상기 복수의 링 버퍼로 매체 파일로부터의 매체 데이타를 전송하는 동작을 동기화시키기 위한 절차를 포함하는 뷰어 모듈과, 비디오 디스플레이 출력을 발생시키는 적어도 하나의 상기 링 버퍼의 출력을 수신하도록 접속된 비디오 가속기와, 오디오 디스플레이 출력을 발생시키는 적어도 하나의 상기 링 버퍼의 출력을 수신하도록 접속된 음향 가속기를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프 라인 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하나의 링 버퍼는 오디오 매체만을 수신하여 기억하고, 상기 다른 하나의 링 버퍼는 비디오 매체만을 수신하여 기억하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프 라인 시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 두개의 링 버퍼는 오디오 데이타만을 수신하여 기억하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 오디오 데이타를 포함하는 링 버퍼에 기억된 매체 데이타의 일부를 플레이 개시시키기 위해 상기 음향 가속기에 신호를 보내는 제어기와, 상기 매체데이타의 일부를 플레이시킨후 출력 신호를 발생하는 상기 음향 가속기와, 비디오 데이타를 포함하는 링 버퍼에 기억된 매체 데이타의 일부를 디스플레이 개시키기 위해 상기 비디오 가속기에 신호를 보내는 상기 음향 가속기 출력 신호에 응답하는 출력 신호에 응답하는 상기 제어기를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 오디오 매체 파일은 제1오디오 채널에 대한 오디오 데이타를 포함하고, 상기 적어도 다른 하나의 오디오 매체 파일은 제2오디오 채널에 대한 오디오 데이타를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 하나의 링 버퍼는 비디오 매체 데이타만을 수신하여 기억하고, 상기 다른 하나의 링 버퍼는 상기 제1채널에 대한 오디오 매체 데이타만을 수신하여 기억하며, 상기 또 다른 하나의 링 버퍼는 상기 제2채널에 대한 오디오 매체 데이타만을 수신하여 기억하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 매체 데이타 전송을 동기화시키기 위한 상기 뷰어 모듈 절차는 어느 한 순간에 하나의 링 버퍼에서의 데이타 양이 적어도 다른 하나의 링 버퍼에서의 데이타 양과 대략 일치하도록 상기 복수의 링 버퍼에 데이타를 전송하는 데이타 전송 조정자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 전송 조정자는 어느 한 순간에 하나의 링 버퍼에서의 데이타 양과 대략 일치하도록 조절하는 역할을 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 뷰어 모듈은 상기 링 버퍼들중 어느 것이 최소한의 매체 데이타를 포함하고 있는지를 결정하는 절차와 최소한의 매체 데이타를 포함하는 링버퍼에 매체 데이타를 전송하는 절차를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 뷰어 절차는 상기 링 버퍼의 내용이 소정의 최소한도 이하일 경우에는 다른 조건에 상관없이 데이타를 링 버퍼에 전송하는 전송 조정자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  11. 모니터상에 계수화된 매체 데이타를 디스플레이시키는 방법에 있어서, 그들중 적어도 하나의 비디오 매체 데이타를 포함하고 그들중 적어도 하나는 오디오 매체 데이타를 포함하는 복수의 매체 파일 및 복수의 링 버퍼에 매체 데이타를 기억시키는 단계와, 링 버퍼들중 어느 버퍼가 최소한의 매체 데이타를 포함하고 있는지를 결정하는 단계와, 하나의 매체 파일로부터의 매체 데이타를 최소한의 매체 데이타를 갖는 링 버퍼로 읽어들이는 단계와, 하나의 오디오 링 버퍼에 기억되어 있는 매체 데이타의 일부를 플레이시키는 음향 가속기 카드에 신호를 보내는 단계와, 음향 가속기 카드로부터 인터럽트를 기다리는 단계와, 하나의 비디오 링 버퍼에 기억되어 있는 매체 데이타의 일부를 플레이시키는 비디오 가속기 카드에 신호를 보내는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 링 버퍼에 포함되어 있는 바이트의 수가 소정의 최소한도 이하일 경우 크리티컬(critical) 판독 동작을 실행하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 링 버퍼에 포함되어 있는 바이트의 수가 소정의 수 이상일 경우 에퍼션트(efficient) 판독 동작을 실행하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  14. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 링 버퍼가 효율성을 증가시키도록 플레이 개시전에 데이타를 미리 재로딩하는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
  15. 제11항에 있어서, 계수화되기 전의 이러한 오디오와 관련된 비디오 양만큼의 비례값을 사용하여 비디오의 소정의 양 만큼 적절히 동기화시키는데 필요한 오디오의 바이트 수를 결정하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  16. 제1항에 있어서, 매초당 30프레임 이하에서 포착되는 물질을 효율적으로 재생하는데 사용되는 한 조의 포착 마스크에 의해 상승 효과가 나타나는 것을 특징으로 하는 매체 파이프라인 시스템.
