Claims (8)

100℃이하의 온도에서 10바 이하의 압력하에 균질 알칼리성 촉매 존재하에 1%미만의 유리 지방산을 저급 알코올, 보다 특별하게 하는 메탄올과 적어도 2단계로 반응시키고, 형성된 글리세롤을 각 단계후의 반응 혼합물에서 제거함으로써 저급 알킬 에스테르, 보다 특별하게는 메틸 에스테르를 연속 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 반응 혼합물을 각 단계에서 단 하나의 튜브 반응기(4,9) 및 후속 정지 분리기(5,10)를 통과시키고, 튜브 반응기(4,2)를 반응기로 사용하며, 반응 혼합물의 하기 유동 라이놀드 수(Re)가 2,300초과, 바람직하게는 4,000초과, 보다 바람직하게는 10,000초과임을 특징으로 하는 방법.

제1항에 있어서, 분리기(5,10)의 반응 혼합물의 체류시간이 0.1∼5시간이고, 반응혼합물이 분리기(5,10)에서 반응온도로 유지되는 방법.
제2항에 있어서, 분리기에서 체류시간이 1∼2시간인 메틸에스테르의 제조방법.
제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 관상 수평분리기(5,10)를 사용하여 수행되고, 한끝에서 관상 분리기(5,10)로 유입된 반응 혼합물이 맞은편 끝에서 상부상(에스테르) 및 하부상(글리세롤)로 분리되어 이들 2개상이 개별적으로 유출되는 방법.
제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 튜브 반응기 내의 체류 시간이 1∼10분, 보다 특별하게는 메틸 에스테르 제조시 2∼5분인 방법.
제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 양 단계에서 알킬 및 트리글리세라이드가 4.5∼7.5몰/몰 트리글리세라이드의 비로 사용되고, 보다 특별하게는 메틸 에스테르 제조시 5.1∼6.9몰/몰 트리글리세라이드의 비로 사용되는 방법.
제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 함께 취해진 양 단계의 촉매의 총 농도가 중성 트리글리세라이드를 기준으로 0.25중량% 미만이고, 알코올 및 촉매의 총량이 트란스에스테르화될 트리글리세라이드의 사슬 길이 분포 및 품질에 따라 각 단계에서 85%이상이 전환율이 수득되게끔 양 단계 사이에 배분되는 방법.
제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 예비 혼합시 반응 혼합물을 적어도 하나의 정지 믹서(1, 2, 7, 8)를 통과시키는 방법.
