Claims (22)

  1. 주사전극(y전극)과 데이터전극(x전극)과의 교차점의 액정셀에, y구동회로로부터의 주사전압과 x구동회로로부터의 표시전압과의 전위차분의 전압을 인가해서, 표시데이터에 따른 표시를 행하게하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서, 1라인주사기간마다 적어도 한번, 상기 x구동회로로부터 출력하는 표시전압을 보정하는 보정기간을 설정하고, 이 보전기간내에, 상기 X구동회로로부터 표시전압에 대신해서, ON표시시 전압레벨과 OFF 표시시 전압레벨과의 중간의 전압레벨의 보정전압을 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보정기간내에 상기 x구동회로로부터 출력하는 보정전압을 상기 y구동회로로부터 비주사시에 출력되는 전압과 동레벨의 전압으로 하므로서, 상기 액정셀에 인가하는 전압을 상기 보정기간중 ov로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보정기간내에 x구동회로로부터 출력되는 각 데이터전극에 대한 보정전압을, ON표시시와 OFF 표시시에서 다르게하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  4. 제1항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 x구동회로로부터 출력되는 ON표시시 전압의 레벨과 상기 보정전압의 레벨과의 차이와, 상기 구동회로로부터 출력되는 OFF 표싯시 전압의 레벨과 상기 보정전압의 레벨과의 차이를 다르게한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보정전압의 파형을 3각파형상으로 한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 1라인 주사기간내의 표시데이터에 포함되는 ON 표시화소 및 OFF 표시화소의 적어도 한쪽을 계수하고, 이 계수결과에 따라서 상기 보정기간의 시간폭 또는 보정전압의 인가시간폭을 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  7. 주사전극(y전극)과 데이터전극(x전극)과의 교차점의 액정셀에, y구동회로로부터의 주사전압과 x구동회로로부터의 표시전압과의 전위차분의 전압을 인가해서, 표시데이터에 따른 표시를 행하게 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서, 1화면 주사기간마다 적어도 한번, 상기 x구동회로로부터 출력하는 표시전압을 보정하는 보정기간을 설정하는 동시에, 1화면주사기간내에 각 데이터전극에 부여되는 표시데이터의 내용에 따라서 당해 데이터전극에 인가해야할 보정전압의 크기 또는 인가시간폭을 결정하고, 상기 보정기간내에, 각 데이터전극에 대해서 상기 x구동회로로부터 상기 표시전압에 대신해서 당해 보정전압을 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  8. 주사전극(y전극)과 데이타전극(x전극)과의 교차점의 액정셀에 전압을 인가해서 표시데이터에 따른 표시를 행하게 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치에 있어서, 미리 정해진 1라인 주사기간마다, 상기 주사전극의 어느쪽이든 1개를 순차 선택해서 주사전압을 인가하는 동시에, 그 시점에서 선택되어 있지 않는 다른 주사전극에는 비주사 전압을 인가하는 주사전극구동수단과, 외부로부터 입력되는 표시데이터의 내용에 대응한 표시전압을, 상기 데이터전극에 인가하는 데이터전극 구동수단과, 상기 주사전극구동수단에 의한 각 주사전극의 선택이 행하여질때마다, 미리 설정된 보정기간만, 상기 x 구동회로로부터 출력되는 표시전압에 대신해서, ON 표시시 전압레벨과 OFF 표시시 전압레벨의 중간의 전압레벨의 보정전압을 모든 상기 데이터전극에 인가하는 전압제어수단, 을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 전압제어수단은 상기 보정기간내에 각 데이터전극에 인가하는 보정전압을, 당해 데이터전극이 ON 표시인지 OFF 표시인지에 따라서 다르게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  10. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 보정전압을, 상기 주사전극구동수단으로부터 비주사시에 출력되는 전압과 동일레벨의 전압으로 한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  11. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 보정전압을, 상기 주사전극구동수단으로부터 비주사시에 출력되는 전압에 가까운 레벨의 전압으로 한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  12. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 전압제어수단은, 상기 보정기간의 시간폭 또는 보정전압의 인가시간폭을 제어하는 기능도 가진 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 1라인 주사기간중의 표시데이터 포함되는 ON 표시화소 및 OFF 표시화소의 적어도 한쪽을 계수하는 카운터를 더 가지고, 상기 전압제어수단은, 상기 카운터의 계수결과에 의거해서, 당해 라인주사기간에 있어서의 상기 보정전압의 인가시간폭을 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 전압제어수단은, 상기 보정기간내에 각 데이터전극에 인가하는 보정전압의 인가시간폭을 당해 데이터전극이 ON 표시인지 OFF 표시인지에 의해서 별개로 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  15. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 전압제어수단은, 상기 보정전압의 인가시간폭을 당해 1라인주사기간의 ON 표시화소수와 OFF 표시화소수와의 차이에 의거해서 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  16. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제어전압수단은, 상기 보정전압의 일어서기에지 및 내리서기에지의 경사를 완만하게 하는 파형제어수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  17. 제12항에 있어서, 1라인 주사기간의 표시데이터의 변화점수를 검출하는 변화점 검출회로를 더가지고, 상기 전압제어수단은, 상기 검출된 변화점수에 의거해서 상기 보정전압의 인기시간폭을 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  18. 제12항에 있어서, 1라인 주사기간의 표시데이터와 그 1라인앞의 1라인주사기간의 표시데이터를 비교연산하는 연산수단을 더 가지고, 상기 전압제어수단은, 상기 연산수단의 연산결과에 의거해서 상기 보정전압의 인가시간폭을 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  19. 제8항에 있어서, 상하 2화면으로 분할된 액정패널의 상하화면에 각각 부여된 표시데이터에 따라 표시전압을 부여하는 2개의 데이터전극구동수단과, 상하화면 동시에 주사전압을 부여하는 1개의 주사전극구동수단을 가지고, 상기 전압제어수단을 상기 2개의 데이터전극구동수단으로 공용한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  20. 제8항에 있어서, 상하 2화변으로 분할된 액정패널의 상하화면에 각각 부여된 표시데이터에 따라 표시전압을 부여하는 2개의 데이터전극구동수단과, 상가화면에 각각 주사전압을 부여하는 2개의 주사전극수단을 가지고, 이 2개의 데이터전극구동수단에 대해서 상기 전압제어 수단을 개별로 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  21. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 전압제어수단을 상기 데이터전극구동수단에 내장한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
  22. 주사전극(y전극)과 데이터전극(x전극)과의 교차점의 액정셀에 전압을 인가해서, 표시데이터에 따른 표시를 행하게 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치에 있어서, 1화면분의 표시데이터를 격납하는 프레임메모리와, 미리 정해진 1라인 주사기간마다, 상기 주사전극의 어느쪽이든 1개를 순차 선택해서 주사전압을 인가하는 동시에, 그 시점에서 선택되어 있지 않는 다른 주사전극에는 비주사 전압을 인가하고, 이 1화면주사후에 설정한 보정기간에 모든 주사전극에 비주사전압을 인가하는 주사전극 구동수단과, 상기 프레임메모리부터 입력되는 표시데이터의 내용에 대응한 표시전압을, 상기 데이터전극에 인가하는 데이터전극 구동수단과, 1화면 주사기간내에 각 데이터전극에 부여되는 표시데이터의 내용에 따라서 상기 보정기간에 당해 데이터전극에 인가해야할 보정전압의 크기 또는 인가시간폭을 산출하는 연산수단과, 상기 보정기간에, 각 메이터전극에 대해서 상기 표시전압에 대신해서 당해보정전압을 출력하는 전압제어수단, 을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동장치.
